- Ensure that you feed your baby with solid until he/she is full before you offer breastmilk.
- At some meal time offer your baby water to drink before food or after food instead of breast milk. In no time you will realize your baby has lost interest in breastmilk.
Your baby may not be willing to stop taking breastmilk:
- As long as you are ready, you need to stay focused on your baby’s needs to distract him/her when the urge for take breast milk sets in.
- It is advice not to stop breastfeeding shortly, its best to withdraw bit by bit this way your child can withstand it and avoid you experiencing painful and engorged breast .
