Causes of infertility in human vary from person to person, infertility is not just  a woman's problem, Some men have been diagnosed infertile. However, most Infertility causes  is biological while some are unexplainable. Women are born with a healthy determinant number of eggs. As a woman’s reproductive year’s progresses, the number and quality of her eggs diminish, chances of  natural conception after intercourse becomes very slim. Common Causes of Female Infertility

Age: in the 20’s age-related abnormalities women related to the egg was not obvious, women in their teens easily conceive without issues. 

Technology reveals that for some unexplainable reasons, as women age, their fertile egg numbers begins to decrease . In recent times women in their thirties delay in child bearing. This lead to the detection of negative effect of age on a woman’s egg. 

Negative Effects of Age on Older Women

• Her ovaries become unhealthy to release eggs.
• Her quantity of eggs depreciates
• Her eggs become unhealthy for fertilization.
• As a women ages, her risk of having a miscarriage increases.

It is a fact that female age is a possible cause of infertility in most women. As a woman ages the possibility of a normal genetic egg quality may be evident or decreasing thereby reducing a woman’s ability for natural birth. 

Sometimes, this applies to the ability to conceive with her eggs, but not with donor eggs.

Other Risk factors Related to female infertility includes:

Hormonal Causes: Ovulation disorders is also contribute to most cases of infertility in women. Without ovulation, there are no eggs to be fertilized. This often comes with signs like irregular or absent menstrual period. You can easily detect this by keeping a menstrual calendar or using an ovulation predictor kit.

Blockage or Damaged Fallopian Tubes: Sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, or pelvic inflammatory disease can prevent contact between the woman’s egg and  the mans sperm thereby reducing her  chance of getting pregnant because an ovulated egg is unable to be fertilized by sperm.  Blocked   tubes due to pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, or surgery during an ectopic pregnancy.

Cervical Causes:  This kind of problem deter sperm from pass through the cervical canal due to hostile cervical mucus situated  in the wall of the cervix or scare tissues as a result of surgical.

Uterine Causes:  Abnormal anatomy of the uterus; the presence of polyps and fibroids.

• Uterine Fibroids: a lot of women may have women have been diagnosed of  uterine fibroid  but the presence of it does not necessarily cause infertility in women.

Types of Fibroid

• Subserosal
• Intramural
• Submucosal

The submucosal fibroid has been demonstrated to reduce the chances of pregnancy by 50%.

Endometrial Polyps: Endometrial polyps are finger-like growths in the uterine cavity associated with cancer 

Endometriosis: Endometriosis is associated with infertility a condition whereby cells very similar to the ones lining the uterine cavity.  It is found in most women who are still in their reproductive-age. Endometriosis produce inflammation and scaring tissues or Uterine Adhesion causing the woman to experience pain during intercourse and menstrual periods. 

Cancer Treatment: Radiation and chemotherapy treatment for cancer can be a possible cause of infertility in some women.

Unexplained/other: Most time after a complete thorough medical examination has been carried out, no known cause of  infertility is revealed.
